Screenshots and The Timer Padlock; a Powerful Combination Against Internet Overuse.
My brother is a good musician and his teacher would say that if you learn how to play an instrument wrong you have to spend that much time unlearning it "twice as much".. This is why the timer padlock or timers alone doesn't solve the issue of computer overuse.. Like a person who drinks who says they don't want to take the prescriptions that actually counteract it like 75% because they think they want to drink and it's the only friend they've ever had.
Using screenshots may be a way to not take a shot of whiskey each time you're staggering online!
Timers or timer apps don't solve the problem..in China they tried them for gambling apps and they did more, not for 8 hours, with the timers they increased to 10 hours.
The idea here is that timing out for like a day or two a week or whatever or half the day (you want to time out more than enough to be able to resist it) using the timer padlock can be much boosted by the following method... (You can buy timer padlocks for ten dollars on Amazon and tie them to the zipper of your box.)
When you're online what you can do is look at the sites you visit that aren't doing you much good.. this could include gambling apps (2/3 of video Gamblers are addicted). You take a screenshot of whatever it is you want to reduce the wasteful computing about, this can be whatever you do online or offline so it's all purpose..And it's also simple to take a screenshot, all you have to do in Android is press the power button on the side of your phone along with the volume down button at the same time. This takes the screenshot or image of your web page or any other page like on an app.
Now you have evidence of the site and what you can do is time out with the timer padlock and then go to that image in your photo editor and write down what it is you want to detour about it and why by clicking on the edit, This is a picture of a small pencil of the list of the menu on the bottom of your photo editor usually. There to the bottom right is a picture of a smile icon with another pencil click on this and then go to text or you can click to the lower left and there will be a picture of a pencil for drawing.
(Not only can you crop as usual with photo editing but here when you click the word "text" This will enable you to add text on top of the image of that site you want to limit perhaps. You want your words near the center of the image to see it once changed on the list. My Android had the list words too small to often see without color. Make your comment words the right size by the scale on the left to fit your words between the image words like using small letters, this overwrites the words by writing between the lines, and if you want to see your own words in the list you can use a semitransparent block around your words by clicking a few clicks in the photo editor. You can also move your word blocks near the center of your image so it shows on the list. Sometimes you may just want to circle words on the image or draw a line or a nice color line and arrow from your words to the image words, once you've clicked edit, click the color pencil marker nearer the left..Zoom up if you like for a cool line around this. This may sound complex, but keep in mind you're editing your image by clicking on edit) and then typing in the words (and letters if you like) and then saving. Practice will allow the rest!

Here's where the celebration is because what you can do is first of all write do not go to this site and why.. But you can add comedy or your good side of whatever it is that you're trying to change. Everything has a bad good side, just try to find your good side of it. One good place to find your good side of stuff like this is a thesaurus..it's another word for a word Darn darn double darnette! Darn good because you can find antonyms which will help you find the opposite of your bad side of it.

This is also great for avoiding shams like about how almost 50% of the reviews on Amazon are bogus, or how 50% of OTC herbs are counterfeit. So essentially you're shortening a lot of these loops by increasing your memory by this method.

If you ask Google they say you can't click your way out and then offer you the "opportunity to learn more" which often isn't a thrill as much.
So you might think of a workaround..sign up with more apps that send you more messages to always remove the pfish so it's lower down. And then look up on the pun lists "more apps add more messages" might be No Booze Like Amnesia! You've added your defense, your best move and a way to remember it.
And then add the letters to memorize like with audio, a way to convert what would have been more negative to a net positive more in your favor. And you can repeat the method..
If you've learned a habit this much you can't let go of it fast.. instead you have to slam dunk with the timer padlock in the duffel. And then you might finish improving with screenshots offline where you can look at the site you may have been doing too much or gambling and then putting the sort of blocking detour with the words that are more in your favor on that screenshot.
Or you can use it for finance, cheer, or any other use, as much use as the net, what there is of it!
These images can be used to make constant progress in many ways, for example for weight loss you can go to weight control sites..
do a rolling screenshot (in Android press volume down plus power, then hold down the arrow button on lower left) for the image then you can return offline to take screenshots of the main image you got online and then make reminder notes in your images to not overeat etc. You don't just forget it by memory overuse amnesia..
Or you can use it for finance, cheer, or any other use, as much use as the net, what there is of it!
A Note About Listening and Reading the Web.
How do you find all these fabulous words from your loop of your audio and remember to stop and look at the words on the list instead of going through them all the time?
While I'm offline I like to listen to a song or two and then stop and think about what I'm listening to. This is kind of like interval training for exercise when you exercise like running and then you slow down when you're tired and wait till you're cleansed out and then speed up again slow down speed up and then you quit when you're tired either way, So too even about music the truth abounds in silence.. Information including jokes for music or reading the screenshots is like food not so much about what you eat but more about how well you digest it..
So high intensity interval training like this Is perhaps four times as efficient..Science shows that when you're walking when you slow down to stop and smell the roses or whatever they've planted in your RV!..this much improves like your neural health for building neurons and other health while you're walking, but I believe listening to what your body is saying about slowing down when you're too tired and then speeding back up when you're cleansed out may be far more valuable for all kinds of exercise, not just high speed.. This includes music and computing in general. This is a way to savor your favorite songs. lnstead of listening so much you have burnout you aren't as tired of your tunes as soon.
So when you're listening to your audios and you have your jokes there or other things you may want to memorize since you're in the habit of listening to your song and then resting and thinking about your song for better value, you also have the value of listening to your counteracting words about those websites you don't want to visit while you're in the process of learning about music or whatever it is you're currently struggling with, as most have.
More particularly as you stop you can look at those words in the words for letters and go back and forth between them at that point you're getting that much smarter about learning what you want to unlearn, and what you want to learn.
Food overuse can be a problem because it's been found that feeling good replaces frownies in your brain with grins. So it's a bit of self-based behavioral cognition so much of it is, and this is one of the reasons why learning how to do jokes well can be really an advantage to have because not only do employers favor employees like a third more who laugh a lot but also vice versa. Comedy is what you can replace bad habits with.. Relationships are often more probable to survive if at least one of the members has a sense of cheer while they make a recording while listening to the laugh track laughing..
Celebration tends to be all purpose. Even so the world is run by serious people. So while you may not be interested in using jokes to remove your internet overuse by these methods, I would say for those who overuse at least using the timer padlock and screenshot method with words in the photo editor that are your good side and perhaps also the audio loop may be an option of most worth.
